Transition slowly from the treadmill to the great outdoors.

As the weather gets nicer I am looking to run outside more, but the impact of outside running causes soreness in my knees and ankles and gives me shin splints. Any advice on what I can do before, during or after my runs so I am not as sore?

Plyometrics – A lot of fun but not for everyone.

What’s the deal with the new style of training I see now at my gym? Everybody is jumping around, throwing balls in the air and doing pushups? It looks like my gym class when I was in grade school! I guess I’m just an old fart because I go to the gym to lift weights. Am I missing something?
